About Michael Swilley Residential Design
President and senior designer, Michael has two main initiatives in each project he undertakes: help perfect a client's vision of their dream home and instill his creative knowledge and experience to create a home, timeless in both function and style.
Michael Swilley Residential Design is a small and personable design firm. Remaining a smaller firm has allowed Michael to personally stay connected and involved with the design and client relationship of each project.
"Often with a large design firm, a client will meet with the senior designer or principle only to be passed to someone other than who the client came to see to design their home. I want to be involved and manage the entire design process of each project and give the client my full attention and effort. That philosophy has served me well over the years with a long list of satisfied clients. After 20 years, I still do all of the initial client meetings, creative design and planning of the project before involving my staff to help assemble the final drawings".
Having designed homes all over the Southeast in a variety of architectural vernaculars, Swilley says he is "blessed to have a job that allows him to be creative and work with many interesting people and one that, in many respects, changes and evolves every day".
